Notes

'Millennium' artichoke (Cynara cardunculus 'Millennium') is a perennial for borders, specimen plantings, and food gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, sandy or clay soil. It grows fast and forms a clump, and it tolerates drought. Bees and butterflies visit the flowers. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Society garlic, Chocolate cosmos, and Snapdragon.
