Notes

'Miller's Crimson' Japanese primrose (Primula japonica 'Miller's Crimson') is a perennial for borders and low maintenance beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, loamy soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. The deep, almost true red flowers open in spring and again in summer. Plant it in colonies for a great show.

Pairs well with Japanese iris, Siebold's hosta, and Siberian bugloss.
