This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, loamy soil. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It grows fast and has an erect shape. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit it.
Pairs well with Pittosporum, Fourwing saltbush, and Big bluestem.
