Notes

'Minneapolis' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Minneapolis') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It blooms early, from early to mid spring, with fragrant pink single flowers. The color holds without fading, and the stems stay strong. W. A. Dana bred it.

Pairs well with Obedient plant, Japanese spirea, and Spanish bluebell.
