Notes

'Miss Congeniality' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Miss Congeniality') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Cerise pink Japanese type blooms open from mid season to late spring and have a slight fragrance. Each stem carries 3 to 4 buds, and the stems stay strong at about 30 inches tall. Roy G. Klehm bred it.

Pairs well with Wild geranium, Royal fern, and Spanish bluebell.
