'Miss Mary' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Miss Mary') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The wide, single flowers are deep red with a dense gold center of stamens. They open in early summer and sit above the bush. The plant grows up to 31 inches tall.
