Notes

'Modi' apple (Malus domestica 'Modi') is a tree for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. 'Modi' apple is grown for crisp, crunchy fruit with dark red skin and creamy flesh. The flavor is sweeter than Gala but still has plenty of acid. Light pink blooms open in spring and attract bees.

Pairs well with Persimmon, Loquat, and Olive.
