Notes

'Monarch's Banquet' blood flower (Asclepias curassavica 'Monarch's Banquet') is an annual for borders, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy or loamy soil. It grows 24 to 48 inches tall with grey-green leaves edged in creamy yellow and white. Orange-red flowers are fragrant and attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Silky fibers appear when the pods open.

Pairs well with Dragon Wing Red begonia, Sedge, and Black Knight butterfly bush.
