Notes
'Monkinn' atlas cedar (Cedrus deodara 'Monkinn') is a conical evergreen tree for specimen, accent, privacy screen, and winter interest plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows at a moderate rate, tolerates drought and salt, and attracts birds. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Give it room to grow.
Pairs well with Sasanqua camellia, Mondo grass, and Society garlic.
