Notes

'Monsieur Pepin' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Monsieur Pepin') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Van Houtte introduced it in 1873. Cut the blooms for bouquets, and place the shrub where its woody stems have room to grow each year.

Pairs well with June hosta, Magnus coneflower, and Pink Impression tulip.
