Notes

'Mont Blanc' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Mont Blanc') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large double flowers open white with a creamy center and a faint pink blush, and they smell sweet. The stems are strong but bend under the weight of the blooms, so you may want to stake them. Victor Lemoine bred it.

Pairs well with David garden phlox, Star Gazer lily, and Ostrich fern.
