Notes

'Monum' butterfly bush (Buddleja davidii 'Monum') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Reddish purple, fragrant blooms draw butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. This shrub grows fast to 3 to 5 feet tall and wide with an arching shape.

Pairs well with Feather reed grass, Gaura, and Ornamental onion.
