Moonlight Japanese hydrangea vine

Notes

'Moonlight' Japanese hydrangea vine (Hydrangea fauriei 'Moonlight') is a vine for growing up trees, walls, and fences. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average moisture. Its self-clinging stems climb on their own. The silvery blue-green leaves have deep green veins, and they turn orange-red in fall. Large white lacecap flowers open from early to late summer.

Pairs well with Virginia sweetspire, Japanese forest grass, and Autumn fern.
