Notes

'Moonrise' peony (Paeonia 'Moonrise') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant cream flowers with yellow centers attract butterflies and bees. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Prof. Arthur Percy Saunders bred it in 1949.

Pairs well with Fire Island hosta, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Little Beauty tulip.
