Notes

'Moosenee' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Moosenee') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The huge flowers are bright pink, so they make a bold show in the garden. You can cut the blooms and bring them indoors for bouquets. Dr. Frederick G. Brethour bred it.

Pairs well with Fire Island hosta, Western sword fern, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
