Notes

'Morello' rose mallow (Hibiscus moscheutos 'Morello') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, rain gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and moist to wet, sandy or loamy soil. It sits low on the menu for deer. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit it, and it grows fast with an erect habit. It also tolerates salt.

Pairs well with Black-eyed Susan, Western sword fern, and Autumn Brilliance juneberry.
