Notes

'Morris Midget' boxwood (Buxus microphylla 'Morris Midget') is a shrub for borders, edging, hedges, and formal gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or clay soil. It stays small at 9 to 12 inches tall and grows slowly into a dense, evergreen mound. Tiny greenish yellow flowers open in spring and attract bees. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Shasta daisy, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Bloodgood Japanese maple.
