Notes

'John Baldwin' boxwood (Buxus microphylla 'John Baldwin') is a shrub for borders, hedges, foundation plantings, and formal gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or clay soil. It grows slowly into a dense, evergreen mound 36 to 48 inches tall. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Spring flowers are fragrant and attract bees.

Pairs well with Sweet woodruff, Fountain grass, and Red spider lily.
