Notes

'Neatball' boxwood (Buxus microphylla 'Neatball') is a shrub for borders, hedges, foundation plantings, and formal gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or clay soil. Its dense, evergreen form grows slowly into a tidy ball, and bees visit the spring flowers. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Shear it lightly to keep the shape.

Pairs well with Columbine, Big bluestem, and Snake's head.
