Notes

Moss campion (Silene acaulis) is a perennial for rock gardens, containers, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy or loamy soil. It forms tight, moss-like cushions of glossy green leaves that flow over rocks. Pink to purple flowers dot the mat in summer. Deer tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Sedge, Creeping juniper, and Carlton daffodil.
