Notes

Mountain andromeda (Pieris floribunda) is a shrub for borders, specimen planting, foundation beds, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. The deep-green, leathery leaves stay on the plant all year. Flower buds form in the fall and stand erect through the winter, turning creamy-white. Deer rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Sand myrtle, Pink-shell azalea, and Fire pink.
