Notes

'Mrs. P.T. James' clematis (Clematis 'Mrs. P.T. James') is a vine for containers, cottage gardens, specimens, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. Percival Thomas James bred it and named it for his wife. Double blooms come first, then single flowers follow through summer. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Garden phlox, Green Spice coral bells, and Jane magnolia.
