Notes

'Mrs. Pleas' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Mrs. Pleas') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears double pink flowers that add soft color to the garden. The blooms look fresh in a vase, so you can cut a few for indoors. H.A. Terry bred it in 1921.

Pairs well with Stained Glass hosta, Prairie dropseed, and Black Hero tulip.
