Notes

'Muhensai' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Muhensai') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It is a woody plant, so leave the stems in place each winter instead of cutting them to the ground. Plant it where it has room to mature.

Pairs well with Praying Hands hosta, September Charm anemone, Prairie dropseed, and Black Parrot tulip.
