Notes

'Muskogee' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Muskogee') is a perennial for borders, cut flower use, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The dark red flowers have a Japanese form with a tufted center. They open in early summer on upright plants. R.H. Jones bred it.

Pairs well with Prairie Sun rudbeckia, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Carlton daffodil.
