Notes

'Myers' sprenger's asparagus fern (Asparagus densiflorus 'Myers') is a perennial for ground cover and shade gardens. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full shade, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its arching, evergreen stems are fragrant and grow at a moderate pace. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Birds visit it, and it tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Wood fern, Lakeside Paisley Print hosta, and Ice Dance Japanese grass sedge.
