Notes

'Myrtle Reineke' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Myrtle Reineke') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, fragrant, double blooms open with a hint of pink and fade to pure white in early summer. Henry H. Reineke bred it, and the good stems hold the flowers up well.

Pairs well with False Solomon's seal, Cheerfulness daffodil, and Christmas fern.
