Notes

'Mystic Embers' peony (Paeonia 'Mystic Embers') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, semi-double blooms are coral-red and about 7 inches wide. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Nate Bremer bred it, and bees and butterflies visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Guacamole hosta, Prairie dropseed, and Christmas fern.
