Notes

'Nancy Elisabeth' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Nancy Elisabeth') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears single, cup-shaped, light pink blooms in early to mid spring. The glossy dark green foliage looks good all season. Robert F. Schmidt bred it, and it first bloomed in 1983.

Pairs well with White trillium, Prairie dropseed, Picture tulip, and Fragrant sumac.
