Notes

'NCMS3' eulalia (Miscanthus sinensis 'NCMS3') is a grass for borders, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its arching clumps reach 72 to 84 inches tall and moderate growth fills in a 60 inch spread. Silvery pale yellow plumes appear in summer and again in autumn, and birds visit the plant. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Blue wild indigo, Beautyberry, and Lily.
