Notes

'Cats Meow' nepeta (Nepeta faassenii 'Cats Meow') is a perennial for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average soil of most types. It is drought tolerant and fragrant, and it blooms in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the flowers. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Yarrow, Magnus coneflower, and Lanceleaf coreopsis.
