Notes

'Neptune' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Neptune') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It forms a compact, upright clump with fragrant pink flowers in early summer. The blooms have a Japanese type flower form. Auguste Dessert bred it in 1921.

Pairs well with Rainbow's End hosta, Sensitive fern, and Rose.
