Notes

'New Valentine' rhubarb (Rheum hybridum 'New Valentine') is a vegetable for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. It bears white flowers in late spring and in early to late summer. It is not a favorite of rabbits, though hungry rabbits will eat almost anything. Plants grow 24 to 36 inches tall and 24 to 48 inches wide, so give them room.

Pairs well with Alexander Fleming peony, Sensitive fern, and Black Hero tulip.
