Notes

'Niche' butterfly bush (Buddleja davidii 'Niche') is a shrub for borders, pollinator gardens, cottage gardens, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Purple, fragrant blooms open in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Clary sage, Japanese forest grass, and Ornamental onion.
