Notes

'Nivea Plenissima' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Nivea Plenissima') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant white blooms have crimson splashes on the edges and open in early to mid spring. Dark red stems and white flowers set this peony apart. Lambert Jacob-Makoy bred it in 1840.

Pairs well with Japanese spirea, Sensitive fern, and Picture tulip.
