Notes
'Noble Knight' sage (Salvia nemorosa 'Noble Knight') is a clumping perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy soil. Bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit the fragrant flowers, which bloom in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. It also tolerates drought once settled in.
Pairs well with Black-eyed Susan, Little bluestem, and Stargazer lily.
