Notes

'Nocturne' rose (Rosa 'Nocturne') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Dark red, fragrant blooms open in late spring, early to late summer, and early autumn. Bees visit the flowers. Herbert C. Swim bred it in 1947.

Pairs well with Stock, Mondo grass, and Joe Pye weed.
