'Nong Yuan Xiang Yue' peony (Paeonia 'Nong Yuan Xiang Yue') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Fragrant, pale yellow flowers with pink washes bloom in early to late spring and attract butterflies. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.
Pairs well with False indigo, Blue fescue, and Greig's tulip.
