'Nong Yuan Yu Lou' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Nong Yuan Yu Lou') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its fragrant, double pink flowers open in early to late spring and face upward. Each stem holds one bloom about 4½ inches wide. Reddish-purple flares mark the petals.

Pairs well with Little Lime panicle hydrangea, Greig's tulip, and Big bluestem.
