'Nong Zui Yuan Fei' peony (Paeonia 'Nong Zui Yuan Fei') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Single red flowers open in early to late spring and attract butterflies. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. It does not need support.
Pairs well with Catmint, Greig's tulip, and Big bluestem.
