Notes

'Oceanic' peony (Paeonia 'Oceanic') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its large double flowers are fragrant, and bees and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. The strong stems need plenty of support in wet weather.

Pairs well with Abiqua Drinking Gourd hosta, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Polish Spirit clematis.
