Notes

'Belle of Taranaki' clematis (Clematis 'Belle of Taranaki') is a vine for containers, cottage gardens, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. It bears violet-blue flowers that bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Give the stems a trellis to climb.

Pairs well with Bobo hydrangea, David garden phlox, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
