Notes
'Ohanagasa' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Ohanagasa') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The Japanese type flowers are dark Tyrian pink and open in mid season. Yellow edges near the tips of the staminodes add a bright touch. The plant stays medium size and compact.
Pairs well with Indian grass, Blanket flower, and Limelight hydrangea.
