Notes
'Oklahoma' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Oklahoma') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The deep pink flowers open in late spring and can reach ten inches across on established plants. Silver-edged guard petals and yellow stamens give the blooms a fluffy look. Stiff stems hold the flowers up above dark green foliage.
Pairs well with Incrediball hydrangea, Foxtail barley, and Carlton daffodil.
