Notes

'Opal' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Opal') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double flowers open pale rose-pink and fade to almost white in mid to late spring. The stems are not strong, so you may want to support the blooms. Sarah A. Pleas bred it.

Pairs well with American Gold Rush black-eyed Susan, Sedge, Picture tulip, and Ostrich fern.
