Notes

'Opening Night' rose (Rosa 'Opening Night') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Dark red, fragrant blooms appear in late spring, early to late summer, and early autumn. Bees visit the flowers. Keith W. Zary bred it in 1998.

Pairs well with Sarah Bernhardt peony, Bells of Ireland, and Clematis.
