Notes

'Ophir' mugo pine (Pinus mugo 'Ophir') is a shrub for borders, rock gardens, containers, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows slowly to about 2 to 3 feet tall and wide in a broad shape. Deer tend to pass it by. The evergreen needles bring color to the garden all year, and birds visit the plant.

Pairs well with Limeglow creeping juniper, Berry Poppins winterberry, Thalia daffodil, and Foxtail barley.
