Notes
'Mops' mugo pine (Pinus mugo 'Mops') is a shrub for rock gardens, containers, borders, and foundation plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Deer tend to browse other plants first. It grows slowly into a broad evergreen mound that reaches 36 to 48 inches tall. Birds visit it, and it tolerates drought and salt.
Pairs well with Globosa Colorado spruce, Golden Globe American arborvitae, Red fescue, and Rosea lily of the valley.
