Notes

'Orange Sparkler' carnation (Dianthus 'Orange Sparkler') is a perennial with fragrant, double orange flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun. The blooms have hot pink flecks and a spicy scent, and they rise above mounds of blue-green foliage. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Deadhead it to encourage fast repeat blooming.

Pairs well with Shasta daisy, Silver sage, and Karl Foerster feather reed grass.
