Notes

'Orchid Frost' spotted dead nettle (Lamium maculatum 'Orchid Frost') is a perennial for borders, ground cover, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and dry to moist, loamy soil. It creeps along the ground and grows rapidly, so it fills space fast. It blooms in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Frances Williams hosta, Pacific bleeding heart, and Amazing Grace tulip.
